Couples Escapes in Rural Ireland

Discover:

Discover the peace and tranquility Boglands and Rural Ireland have to offer: the green landscape, the striking Midlands of Ireland and the majestic inland waterways will suck you in and comfort you as you enjoy your stay in a luxurious yurt or cabin. Discover the locals; enjoy a chat and a pint at a local pub, or partake in an activity or an event. Discover luxurious accommodation in a unique environment where you can have all the benefits of the outdoors plus the comfort of a warm bed.

Eat:

Boglands is a self-catering facility with multiple options for creating wonderful meals. Our wood-fired oven is the Hub of Great Grub: from pizza to steak you can cook it all. The unique flavour of the food is mouth-watering and delicious. Gas grills are also available to use. Have your fry in the morning and sit, listen and enjoy the song of the birds or the hum of a distant tractor. We also have a fully equipped outdoor kitchen with a fridge, gas cooker/oven, and a microwave. All utensils etc are there to use also.

If eating out is your pleasure then a 20 minute drive in several directions will expose you to a multitude of options.

Activities:

The Midlands of Ireland has many options for adventure and fun. Cycling, walking, hiking, paddling, horse riding and more. As Boglands is located near the Grand Canal we have kayaks, canoes and bikes on offer so you need not have to look too far away for options. All bikes and kayaks are free to use during your stay. Self-service for the bikes and kayaks: just use them whenever it suits yourselves.

Campfire Time:

Always the main event. The campfire is a marvellous experience. Whether you are alone or with other couples, sitting around the Boglands campfire is as relaxing as it is inspiring. The rustic setting helps to make you feel at one with nature and, occasionally, the cattle and sheep in the next fields sometimes keep you company watching the flames dancing atop the blackened logs.
